RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 08, 2026: A two-day workshop on “AI Tools for Smart Learning and Digital Productivity” was inaugurated on Tuesday at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Shatrajupalli, in Vemulawada temple town.
The workshop is being organised by the Department of Computer Science in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science, Satavahana University, Karimnagar, as part of the “Academic Empowerment Programme – 100 Days Initiative”, aimed at enhancing academic capabilities in government degree colleges. The workshop is being conducted on September 8 and 9.
Professor P. Satish, Registrar, Satavahana University, Karimnagar, attended the inaugural session as the Chief Guest. M. Arjun, Head, Department of Computer Science, Satavahana University, participated as the Resource Person.
Addressing the gathering, Professor P. Satish highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI in the present technological era. He encouraged students to make responsible and effective use of AI-based technologies to enhance their academic performance, creativity and digital skills.
Mr Arjun explained the fundamentals of AI and Generative AI and demonstrated how AI tools can be effectively integrated into the learning process. He also familiarised students with practical applications of AI in education and digital productivity.
Sessions Conducted
Session–I:
“Introduction to AI and Generative AI” was handled by M. Arjun, Head, Department of Computer Science, Satavahana University.
Session–II:
“AI Tools for Smart Learning” was conducted by Ms. T. Sravanthi, Assistant Professor, Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Sciences.
Session–III:
A “Hands-on Workshop on AI” was conducted by Mr. G. Sravan Kumar, Assistant Professor, JNTUH University College of Engineering, Rajanna Sircilla.
The workshop provided students with hands-on exposure to various AI tools and their applications in learning, information gathering, creativity, digital productivity and future career development.
The programme is being organised under the guidance of P.S.R. Sharma, Principal and Convener; K. Lavanya, Vice-Principal and Co-Convener; and Ms. A. Anusha, Head, Department of Computer Science and Coordinator. Ms. G. Madhavi and Ms. G. Lavanya are serving as Co-Coordinators and actively involved in the organisation of the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal P.S.R. Sharma stated that the two-day workshop would significantly contribute to enhancing students’ awareness of AI, technical skills, creative thinking and digital competencies, preparing them to effectively meet the demands of the rapidly evolving digital world.
