TIRUPATI, AUGUST 29, 2026: A lifestyle in harmony with nature and healthy food habits can help prevent many health problems caused by modern living, said renowned naturopathy expert and Andhra Pradesh Government Adviser Dr Manthena Satyanarayana Raju.
A two-day awareness programme on “Health Protection through Yoga and Naturopathy”, jointly organised by the AYUSH Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, and TTD, began at Mahati Kalakshetram in Tirupati on Saturday.
On the first day, Dr Raju is creating awareness among TTD educational institution students, while on the second day, TTD employees and the public will be covered. He is explaining preventive healthcare, digital balance, food as medicine and digital detox through PowerPoint presentations.
Have Dinner Before 6 PM
Speaking on “Arogya Sanjeevani”, Dr. Raju advised people to follow a lifestyle in tune with nature and regulate their daily routine according to sunrise and sunset. He particularly suggested completing dinner before 6 PM for better health.
He advised avoiding late-night meals followed by immediate sleep and suggested natural foods such as dry fruits, seeds and fruits in the evening, as required.

Give Importance to Millets
Dr. Raju said intermittent fasting is being followed in many countries and stressed the importance of controlling the timing and quantity of food. Including millets in the daily diet can provide essential nutrients and support overall health, he said.
“Ekabhuktham, Langhanam – Paramoushadham”
Dr. Raju said ancient Indian sages followed principles of health through self-discipline, yoga, meditation and a regulated lifestyle. Explaining the concept “Ekabhuktham, Langhanam – Paramoushadham”, he advised people to understand their body’s needs and eat accordingly.
He also explained the important role of the immune system and white blood cells in fighting diseases.
Healthy Habits from Childhood
Dr. Raju called for creating awareness among children from an early age about healthy food and disciplined living.
Following timely routines, natural food, yoga and a lifestyle in harmony with nature can help build a healthier society, he said.
