HANAMKONDA, AUGUST 29, 2026: Thikka Aravind Raj, a student of Government Markazi High School in Hanamkonda, has been selected for admission to the Hockey Academy at Wanaparthy run by the Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG).
Aravind Raj, son of Thikka Raju, was selected on the basis of his performance and potential in hockey. He will undergo regular coaching and physical fitness training at the academy under qualified coaches. The District Youth and Sports Officer (FAC), Wanaparthy, K Sudheer Kumar Reddy, has requested the school authorities to relieve the student to enable him to join the academy and attend regular training. The officer also sought the cooperation of the school in supporting his academic and sporting development.
