SIDDIPET, AUGUST 14, 2026: Kaveri University organised ‘Abhyudaya–2026’, an Orientation Programme to warmly welcome newly admitted first-year engineering students and their parents into the university family on Friday. The programme marked the beginning of a new academic journey and provided students with an opportunity to understand the university’s academic culture, values, opportunities and expectations.
The programme was graced by Prof. Balakishta Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Higher Education Council, as the Chief Guest. Mr. G. V. Bhaskar Rao, Chancellor, Kaveri University and Chairman, Kaveri Seeds; T. Tirupati Rao, Hon’ble Chancellor, Manipur University; and Prof. Dr. V. Praveen Rao, Vice-Chancellor, Kaveri University, were among the distinguished dignitaries present.
In his address, Prof. Balakishta Reddy encouraged students to continuously upgrade their skills and embrace emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence and other digital technologies. He emphasised that technological knowledge must be complemented by human values, ethics, creativity, communication skills and social responsibility. He advised students to cultivate innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to confidently face the rapidly changing professional landscape.
Chancellor Mr. G. V. Bhaskar Rao shared his vision of developing Kaveri University into one of the leading institutions in India and eventually a globally respected university. He stressed the importance of practical education, industry orientation, teamwork, innovation and preparation for the global market. He encouraged students to make full use of the university’s academic, technological and extracurricular opportunities and develop into confident and responsible professionals.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. V. Praveen Rao highlighted the university’s focus on innovation, multidisciplinary learning, problem-solving and technology-enabled education. He urged students to become creators and innovators rather than merely users of technology and emphasised the importance of communication skills, adaptability and continuous learning. He also encouraged students to explore interdisciplinary knowledge and develop solutions to real-world challenges.
The orientation programme familiarised students and parents with the university’s academic programmes, infrastructure, learning environment, industry-oriented initiatives and opportunities in research, innovation and overall personality development. The dignitaries called upon students to utilise their university years effectively and contribute positively to society.

Srinivasulu, Registrar, Kaveri University; Director Polsani Harsha Rao; Deans Dr. Konda Srinivas, Dr. G.
