TIRUMALA, OCTOBER 14, 2026: The Simha Vahana Seva was held on the third morning of the Srivari Navahnika Brahmotsavams, where Sri Malayappa Swamy, as Yoga Narasimha, was taken in a procession on the ferocious Simha vahanam.
The lion symbolises royalty, power, courage, speed and divine authority.
The lion recalls Narasimha Avatara, the half-man, half-lion form assumed to destroy the demon Hiranyakasipu and protect humanity.
The Seva therefore represents the Lord as the supreme protector who destroys evil and safeguards the righteous, the poor and the helpless.

The Simha Vahana Seva conveys that divine power is not merely force, but is guided by dharma, compassion and protection. It inspires devotees with courage, confidence and faith that righteousness will ultimately prevail over evil.
Both the Pontiffs of Tirumala, EO Sri Ravichandra, board members Sri Bhanuprakash Reddy, Smt Janaki Devi, Smt Rangasri, Sri Santaram, Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, CVSO Sri Muralikrishna, DyEO temple Sri Bhaskar and others participated.
