KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 06, 2026: The Mala Mahanadu Karimnagar district unit paid rich tributes to the late people’s poet and balladeer Gaddar (Gummadi Vittal) on his third death anniversary by garlanding his portrait and observing two minutes of silence as a mark of respect at Ambedkar Bhavan in Karimnagar town on Thursday.
On this occasion, the leaders recalled that Gaddar made his songs the voice of the people and his art a tool for social awareness, dedicating his life to social justice, equality and the rights of the marginalised communities. Gaddar’s voice, songs, literature, ideals, and spirit of struggle will continue to inspire generations.
Hailing his contribution in the statehood movement, the Mala Mahanadu leaders said Gaddar ignited the flame of state formation among the masses. Mala Mahanadu leaders Guda Kanakaiah, Thalla Venkatesh, Damera Satyam, Patakula Bhumaiah, Gambhiraopet Anjaiah, Chatalla Krishna, Koram Raviprasad, Dandi Ravinder, Bandela Rajalingam, Chiluka Ramaswamy, Chinna Dasari Narayana and others participated in the programme.
