KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 06, 2026: The SRR Government Arts and Science College in Karimnagar town celebrated the birth anniversary of Telangana ideologue Prof. K. Jayashankar by paying floral tributes to his portrait in remembrance of his invaluable contributions to Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. K. Ramakrishna said that Prof. Jayashankar’s visionary leadership and intellectual contribution to the Telangana statehood movement would remain unforgettable. He remarked that his lifelong dedication to the development of Telangana society continues to inspire the younger generation.
Vice Principals Nitin Pathak and Rajayya, TGC GTA State President Kadaru Surender Reddy, and Staff Secretary Mallaram Srinivas Reddy highlighted Prof. Jayashankar’s ideals and urged students to follow his vision and contribute meaningfully to the progress of society.
The programme was attended by the Head of the Arts Department and faculty members Sathya Prakash, Somanarsaiah, Rajesham, Srinivasa Rao, Praveen, Sudhakar, Satish Reddy, Ramkishan, Rajender, Srinivas, Vinay, Nagaiah, K. Arjun, Naresh, Anjaneyulu, Venkateshwarlu, and Komara Reddy. A large number of Arts students also participated and paid floral tributes to Prof. Jayashankar.
The speakers recalled Prof. Jayashankar’s remarkable life, his pivotal role in the Telangana movement, and his outstanding contributions to education. They appealed to the youth to uphold his ideals and work towards the development of society.
