TIRUMALA, JULY 17, 2026: On the auspicious occasion of Anivara Asthanam, silk garments from the renowned Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Srirangam, Tamil Nadu, were ceremonially offered to Sri Venkateswara Swamy at Tirumala on Friday.
Special prayers were performed to the sacred silk garments at the Tirumala HH Pedda Jeeyar Swamy Mutt, located beside the Sri Bedi Anjaneya Swamy Temple.
Later, HH Pedda Jeeyar Swamy, HH Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, TTD Executive Officer Sri Muddada Ravichandra, Tamil Nadu Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Sri Ramesh, and Commissioner Sri Vinay led a traditional procession with the silk garments to the temple amid the chanting of Vedic hymns and the accompaniment of Mangala Vaidyams.
The silk garments were then ceremonially offered to Lord Venkateswara.
Among those present are TTD Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, Tamil Nadu HR&CE Joint Commissioner, Sri Ravichandra, Srirangam Temple EO Sri Shivaram Kumar, Chief Priest Sri Sundara Bhattar, and other officials.
