SIDDIPET, JUNE 19, 2026: As a prelude to the ensuing International Yoga Day, which will be observed globally on June 21, Kaveri University celebrated the occasion on Friday with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, faculty, and staff.
The programme was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. V. Praveen Rao, who conveyed his best wishes to the students and emphasised the importance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, emotional balance, and a healthy lifestyle. He encouraged students to make yoga a regular part of their daily routine.
The yoga session was conducted by Ms. Veena Yeleswarapu, a volunteer from Isha Foundation, Sainikpuri, Hyderabad, who demonstrated various yoga asanas, breathing techniques, and meditation practices. She highlighted the benefits of yoga in improving concentration, reducing stress, and promoting holistic health.
The programme was attended by University Registrar Dr. B. Srinivasulu, Director Polsani Harsha Rao, Dean Dr. Pratap Kumar Reddy, Dean Dr. Konda Srinivas, Dean Dr. Sunita Mehta, IQAC Head Dr. B. Kavitha Rani, senior professors, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and a large number of students.
