KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 18, 2026: Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Karimnagar, is proud to announce that its students have secured First Prize at the prestigious Winnovx Hackathon- 2026, organised by Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women, Hyderabad, held on June 12 and 13, 2026.
The winning team comprised Shaik Zohaib Ur Rahman (Roll No. 23271A6658) and Panuganti Varshini (Roll No. 23271A6655), both Final Year B.Tech CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) students. The team impressed the judges with their innovative project, Smart Solar Umbrella, technical excellence, and problem-solving skills, securing the top position and a cash prize of ₹50,000.
The hackathon witnessed participation from 72 teams across India, along with the University of Buffalo, New York (USA), the University of Toronto – CANADA and NIT (Warangal), VIT-AP, CBIT etc , making this achievement a matter of great pride for the institution.
Congratulating the students on their outstanding success, Chairman Sri Juvvadi Sagar Rao, Secretary & Correspondent Sri Juvvadi Sumith Sai, Principal Dr. T. Anil Kumar, Dean – Academic & Audit Dr. P.K. Vaishali, and HoD, Department of CSE Dr. R. Jegadeesan appreciated the team’s dedication, innovation, and hard work.
