
TTD takes possession of 10.33 acres of land

Bhoomi puja to be held soon: TTD chairman BR Naidu
TIRUPATI, JUNE 10, 2026: In a significant development, TTD has officially taken possession of 10.33 acres of land allotted by the Assam Government for the construction of a Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Guwahati.
The land, located in Sonapur Circle of Kamrup District, Assam, was allotted as part of the initiative to establish Srivari temples in state capitals across the country, following the vision of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu.
TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu and senior officials had earlier held discussions with Assam Government representatives regarding the project. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the TTD Trust Board also extended their support through official communications.
On Tuesday, the Assam Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner handed over the Land Possession Certificate to TTD Estate Officer Smt. Suvarnamma and Executive Engineer Sri Surendra Reddy.
Mr B.R. Naidu said that Bhoomi Puja for the temple construction will be performed shortly. He expressed happiness that the initiative gained momentum through the special efforts of Chief Minister Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu.
He stated that the proposed Srivari Temple in Assam would become a historic milestone in spreading Sanatana Dharma and spiritual awareness across Northeast India.
TTD Chairman Sri B.R. Naidu and EO Sri Muddada Ravi Chandra conveyed their gratitude to Assam Chief Minister Sri Himanta Biswa Sarma and the Assam Government for their valuable support.
