JAGTIAL, APRIL 16, 2024: Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College, Jagtial town, in collaboration with the NSS units and department of Zoology organised an awareness programme against drug abuse at the Government Degree College for women in Jagtial town on Tuesday.
HoD of Psychiatry department Dr Vishal Akula, faculty members Dr Saket and Asha Mounika said the purpose of conducting such seminars was to sensitise students regarding the harmful effects of drug abuse, find out the causes of drug addiction among the youth and rehabilitate the drug affected. They called upon the NSS volunteers to play a responsible to create awareness about the ill-effects of drug addiction.
Principal Y Satyanarayana, Vice Principal Masroor Sultana, IQAC coordinator Harjoth Kaur, Health club coordinator A Jyothilaxmi, K Kiranmayi, G Chandraiah, Satyam, NSS programme officers M Srinivas and V Jamuna and others were also present.
