Filing of nominations from April 18 to 25 in Telangana state

Three-layered security at the Collectorate in Peddapalli town

PEDDAPALLI, APRIL 16, 2024: Stage is all set for the filing of nominations for the Peddapalli Lok Sabha constituency at the Integrated Collectorate complex in Peddapalli town from April 18 onwards.

The nominations would be filed in the chambers of Returning Officer and Collector Muzammil Khan from 11 am to 3 pm from April 18 to 25. The scrutiny of nominations would be held on April 26 and last date for withdrawal of nominations is on April 29. The Congress party has fielded Gaddam Vamshi Krishna, the son of MLA G Vivek Venkat Swamy, the BRS fielded former Minister Koppula Eshwar and BJP fielded Gomasa Srinivas from the Peddapalli reserved constituency.

Accordingly, Ramagundam Commissioner of Police M Srinivas, the Collector, Peddapalli DCP Chetana and others inspected the arrangements for the filing of nominations, entrance and exit routes, parking space and media point.

The CP said that they had ensured three-layered security by deploying central forces, armed and civil police forces to ensure smooth filing of nominations and avoid any untoward incidents. They would strictly enforce Election Commission of India norms within 100 meters radius of filing of nomination papers. Peddapalli ACP G Krishna, CI Krishna, Sultanabad CI Subba Reddy, SI Laxman Rao and others were also present.
