KARIMNAGAR, MAY 24, 2026: The Indian Arthroscopy Society (IAS) and Joint Preservation programme (JOPP), Karimnagar chapter, has successful conduct of Continuous Medical Education (CME) programme on Knee in association with Telangana Arthroscopy Society (TAS), Telangana Orthopedic Surgeons Association (TOSA) and Karimnagar Orthopedic Surgeons Association (KOSA).
On this occasion, over 300 Orthopedic surgeons from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have attended the CME conducted from Renee hospital in Karimnagar town on Sunday. A total of five live surgeries and real time demonstrations were conducted from Renee hospital and delegates watched them live from Tridha hotel’s conference hall in Karimnagar town. There were panel discussions with experts, interesting debates on key topics and Pearls, pitfalls and practice about insights, tips and practical learning programmes were conducted.

Speaking on the occasion, Renee hospitals and organising Chairman Dr Bangari Swamy said that during their education days these kind of CME and live demonstrations to the metropolitan cities. Thanks to technical development, such IAS and JOPP CME conferences were being held in two-tier city like Karimnagar for the benefit of doctors and PG students, he added.

The focus and mission of the CME was on championing the philosophy of ‘repair, reconstruct and preserve’ before resorting to joint replacement. The clinical sessions were held in sports injuries and arthroscopy, robotic knee replacements and cartilage regeneration.
Doctors who participated in live surgeries include Dr Sai Veerla, Dr Nithin Kumar Bejjanki, Dr Purnachandra Tejaswi, Dr Ramakanth Rajagopala Krishnan, Dr Sukesh Rao, anesthesiologist Dr Muneesh and K Krishna Reddy and other para-medical staff.
TOSA state president Dr Ram Kumar Reddy, secretary Dr Jaganmohan Reddy, Telangana Arthroscopic society state vice president Jai Prasad Peddi, IAS EC member Dr Sridhar Gangavarapu others attended the programme.
