KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 15, 2024: Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) have three officials in various parts of the state for demanding and accepting bribes for doing official favours in different cases on Monday.
Sources said Asifabad Sub-Inspector Rajya Lakshmi was caught red-handed for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 25,000. She had demanded Rs 40,000 from a complainant for securing station bail.
In Nalgonda district, a Drug Inspector Somashekhar was caught for accepting bribe of Rs 18,000 for sanctioning pharmacy for a private hospital in Nalgonda.
Similarly, Huzurabad RTC depot manager demanded and accepting Rs 20,000 from an RTC driver for removing departmental case against the driver. The RTC depot manager was caught while taking the bribe at a hotel in Elkathurthy.
