RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, APRIL 14, 2026: A webinar-based Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Enhancing Teaching and Learning Skills Using AI” was successfully conducted under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet, under the leadership of the Principal, Prof. V. Vijayalakshmi. The programme was organised in collaboration with the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad.
Addressing the participants, Srinivasa Murthy, Director of IPE, highlighted the various academic and capacity-building services being extended by IPE to degree colleges across the state. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Ramakrishna, Professor of Commerce, who provided valuable insights into the application of Artificial Intelligence in education. He demonstrated the effective use of AI through prompt-based techniques and introduced tools such as Claude, emphasising how these technologies can simplify and enhance teaching–learning processes. He stressed the importance of adapting to emerging trends to ensure academic excellence.
The webinar witnessed active participation from around 100 faculty members and students. Prof. Pochaiah, Principal of GDC Wardhanapet, shared constructive feedback on the session, appreciating its relevance and practical orientation. E. Rambhaskar Raju, Associate Professor of English, actively engaged with the keynote speaker and sought guidance on improving research quality and strengthening the review process.

In her presidential address, Principal Prof. V. Vijayalakshmi emphasised that Artificial Intelligence has become a powerful tool in everyday life and can significantly contribute to academic and professional advancement. She urged both students and faculty members to develop awareness and proficiency in AI to remain competitive in the rapidly evolving global landscape.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Y. Anjaneyulu, Assistant Professor of English and IQAC Coordinator, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Principal, resource persons, IPE management, faculty members, and students for their valuable contributions in making the event a grand success.
