HYDERABAD, MARCH 09, 2026: Kaveri University successfully organised a vibrant International Women’s Day celebration on Monday, as part of its “Shakti National Leadership Conclave 2026.” The event brought together prominent women achievers from various fields to inspire students and faculty. The focus was on women’s leadership, resilience, and contributions to society through speeches, cultural performances, and interactive sessions.
The formal proceedings started with a welcome address by B. Kavitha Rani. This was followed by the lighting of the lamp, a rendition of Vande Mataram, Ganapathi Prarthana, and an audiovisual presentation showcasing the university’s vision.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor of Kaveri University V Praveen Rao warmly welcomed the guests. He pointed out that societal progress occurs only when women have equal opportunities in education, employment, and leadership. He praised the “Shakti” initiative and mentioned that the presence of such accomplished women on campus would motivate students to dream bigger and break traditional barriers. The conclave featured keynote speeches from a distinguished group of speakers:

Gayatri Aravind (Founder & Managing Director, Abhasa Rehab Centre) discussed mental health, healing, and the need for empathy in today’s fast-paced world. She urged students to prioritise their psychological well-being.
Manjula Rao Jupally (Chairman, SMS Group of Companies) shared her entrepreneurial journey, emphasising that economic empowerment is essential for women’s independence. She encouraged young women to increase their financial literacy and aim to become job creators.
K.B.R.S. Visarada (Retired Principal Scientist, ICAR) drew from her research experience to highlight women’s contributions to science and agriculture. She reminded students that discipline and perseverance go beyond gender.
Sufiya Sufi (Five-time Guinness World Record holder and long-distance runner) gave an inspiring talk on endurance and bravery, sharing how her self-belief helped her overcome significant physical and mental hurdles.
Vaishali Neotia (VP, Strategy & Business, former CEO of Merxius) discussed innovation and the future of technology. She encouraged women to engage in the startup ecosystem and pursue leadership roles in technology.
Vidushi Deeksha V (Classical dancer and Golden Book of World Records awardee) highlighted the role of culture in shaping identity and confidence. She motivated students to respect tradition while developing their own artistic voices.
The cultural spirit of the campus thrived with a lively performance celebrating womanhood through dance and music led by student K. N. Anjali and her team. This was followed by a Q&A session where participants engaged with the speakers on topics including career development and work-life balance.
The Chancellor of Kaveri University, G.V. Bhaskara Rao, expressed his great satisfaction with the event’s success. The program also included University Registrar B. Srinivasulu, Director Harsha Polasani, Deans Konda Srinivas and Pratap Kumar Reddy, along with Heads of Departments, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and enthusiastic students.
The memorable International Women’s Day celebrations wrapped up with a ceremony to honor the guests, a group photograph, and formal thanks from D. Shivani and Parul Rani.
