HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY 21, 2026: Mr Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development, inaugurated the “Kshamata Bhawan” at the ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad, on Saturday, which is celebrating its Golden Jubilee Year of its service.
The “Kshamata Bhawan” is an additional infrastructure for ICAR-NAARM in order to organize additional number of capacity building programmes for the stakeholders and educational programmes, including the students of agribusiness management.

The Minister reviewed the progress and future plan of ICAR institutes located in Hyderabad. While appreciating the efforts of all the ICAR institutes, He called the Institutes to develop roadmaps to achieve self-sufficiency, especially in oilseeds and millets and increased profitability from the farmers’ point of view.
Earlier, Mangi Lal Jat, Secretary, DARE and DG, ICAR, interacted with the scientists. He suggested having out-of-the-box thinking towards the application of ideas and resources towards scientific research in agriculture. Joy Krishna Jena, Deputy Director General (Fisheries and Agricultural Education) was present during the interaction.
Gopal Lal, Director ICAR-NAARM, organised the programme and apprised the Minister about NAARM’S capacity building initiatives.
