TIRUMALA, JANUARY 09, 2026: Over 93 per cent of devotees expressed immense satisfaction over the arrangements made by TTD for the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan held from December 30 to January 8, said TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu.
Following the successful completion of the 10-day Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan, the TTD Chairman, along with TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal and Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary held a media conference on Friday at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala.
The meeting was also attended by the District Collector Venkateswar and SP L Subbarayudu.
Highlights
Through the Integrated Command Control Centre, AI-assisted real-time crowd monitoring enabled faster darshan, even for devotees without tokens, which is an unprecedented initiative.
Temple
– 7.83 lakh devotees had Srivari darshan during the ten days, as against the previous record of 6.83lakh providing darshan to one lakh more devotees.
– A record number of 83,000 plus devotees had darshan on January 02, which was the highest ever darshan count on a Friday
– On January 3 (Saturday), nearly 89,000 devotees had darshan, setting a new record
– Out of 182 available darshan hours, 164 hours were allotted to common devotees, bringing immense satisfaction among pilgrims.
– Hundi income during the ten days amounted to ₹41.14 crore.
– 44 lakh Srivari laddus were sold. Compared to last year, 10 lakh additional laddus were sold.

Security
– Robust security arrangements with 2,400 police personnel and 1,150 vigilance staff.
– NCC/NSS students also assisted in crowd Management
Engineering
– 400 publicity boards /flexes installed across Tirumala and Tirupati in five languages for easy understanding by devotees.
– Awareness on Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan is disseminated through radio broadcasting in five languages.
– Devotees highly appreciated the illumination and decorative lighting in Tirumala.
– Barricades arranged in coordination with TTD Vigilance and Police to ensure smooth pilgrim movement.
– Uninterrupted water supply ensured throughout Tirumala.
Annadanam
– 33 lakh devotees were served Annaprasadam during the ten days.
– Compared to the previous Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan, 9.29 lakh additional devotees were served Annaprasadam.
– Continuous distribution of food in the queue lines without any inconvenience.
– Nearly 39% increase in Annaprasadam distribution compared to the previous time.
– Hot badam milk is served to every devotee visiting Tirumala.
– With around 1,000 Annaprasadam staff, food was prepared and distributed efficiently, ensuring devotee satisfaction.

Reception
– Devotees expressed satisfaction over unprecedented arrangements at at five PACs
– The newly constructed, state-of-the-art PAC-5 building provided extensive accommodation facilities.
– A large number of rooms were made available for common devotees, enabling comfortable accommodation.
– During the first three days, darshan was provided only to token holders, ensuring smooth room allotment without inconvenience.
Gardens Department
-Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple setting arranged near the Srivari Temple captivated devotees.
– Floral decorations created using 50 tonnes of traditional flowers, 10 tonnes of fruits, and 4 tonnes of cut flowers over ten days gave devotees a divine Vaikuntha-like experience.
Kalyana katta
– 2.06 lakh devotees offered tonsure during the ten days.
– Comfortable arrangements ensured a hassle-free tonsure experience.
– Devotees stated that the process is now much easier and more convenient than before.
Health Department
– Continuous sanitation operations ensured cleanliness in the darshan queue lines, roads, and toilets.
– Drinking water is supplied through mobile water drums in queue lines and crowded areas.
Medical Department
– 24×7 medical services provided through mobile dispensaries in Darshan queue lines and Narayanagiri sheds.
Srivari Sevaks
– Around 4,000 Srivari Sevaks rendered services during Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan.
– Key contributions included 1,900 Sevaks for Annaprasadam, 625 for Health, and 400 for Vigilance.
– 150 Group Supervisors monitored round-the-clock, delivering exceptional service.
The Chairman expressed gratitude to the Police Department, District Administration, APSRTC, Srivari Sevaks, various departments and media representatives, besides TTD workforce, for their coordinated efforts in ensuring the smooth conduct of the Vaikuntha Dwara Darshan.
TTD EO Sri Anil Kumar Singhal stated that not only in Tirumala but also across TTD-affiliated temples nationwide, there was a significant increase in devotee footfall.
”While over 7 lakh devotees had darshan on Vaikuntha Ekadasi last time, it crossed 12 lakh devotees this time. The large-scale developments taken up by TTD in recent times and the word-of-mouth publicity on TTD’s activities, enhanced the footfall, EO observed.
The Additional EO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary said that effective inter-departmental coordination and optimum utilization of time resulted in extended darshan hours, enabling more number of devotees than planned to have smooth and comfortable darshan.
Besides TTD Board members Sri Shantaram, Sri Naresh Kumar, the District Collector Dr Venkateswar, SP Sri Subbarayudu, CVSO Sri Murali Krishna were also present.
