
JAGTIAL, AUGUST 25, 2025: NCC cadets and NSS volunteers belonging to SKNR Government Arts and Science College and Government Degree College for Women (autonomous) Jagitial, have participated in the Swachh Bharat programme at Nukapally urban colony near Jagitial town on Monday, along with the Municipal staff and local youth.
As per the instructions of the district collector B Satya Prasad, Additional Collector BS Latha guided the volunteers to participate in Swachh Bharat and clean and green the residential colony. Later, the students divided into small cluster groups and carried out to door-to-door survey and created awareness about the cleanliness of the surroundings, clearing the accumulated water around their living places.
The cadets also explained about mosquito-borne and insect-borne diseases and their effects on human life. In this programme, principal SKNR GASC JAGITIAL, Professor Ashok, principal of Women’s degree College Autonomous, Professor K Ram Krishna, NSS programme officer A Srinivas, NCC officer Lieutenant P Raju, Faculty members Srilatha, K Srinivas, Sangeeta, Pavan Kalyan, NCC and NSS cadets and volunteers participated. The volunteer also visited the dumping area of Jagtial municipal corporation on the outskirts of Nukapally, the municipal officer explained about the wet and dry waste separation process, vermi composting beds, human waste processing plant, and manure preparation methodology today in the outskirts of Nukapally Urban colony.
