KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 16, 2024: In order to raise awareness about the importance of vaccines in preventing infectious diseases as part of National Immunisation day or vaccination day, the students of Prathima institute of medical sciences (PIMS), Nagunuru village on the outskirts of Karimnagar town took out an awareness rally from the medical college to the Nagunuru grama panchayat on Saturday.
Faculty members Dr Lakshamana Kumar, Dr Harish, Dr Sushma, Dr Raghunath, PG students from paediatrics Dr Jagan Mohan, medicos and Nursing students participated in the programme carrying placards educating the importance of immunization of children.
Later, a CME programme was conducted the PIMS wherein Dr Achanta Vivekanand, Dr Harish, and others spoke on various facets of immunization and vaccines during pregnancy.
