Seven-day NSS camp begins in Kodimial mandal

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 16, 2024: NSS volunteers of Vivekananda Degree and PG college, Karimnagar town, have launched the seven-day NSS camp at Kodimial mandal headquarters in Jagtial district on Saturday.

Kodimial MPDO Swaroopa had formally inaugurated the camp. Speaking on the occasion, she said that the NSS volunteers were playing a crucial role in the rural development programmes. She said that the NSS camps would help the students for their overall personality development and leadership qualities. On this ocasion, the NSS volunteers took out a procession and formed a human chain.

NSS programme officer R Gopi Krishna said that the NSS volunteers would be participating in various programmes as part of their seven-day camp in Kodimial and Kondapur villages. He said the main theme of such camps is to make education more relevant to the present situation to meet the felt needs of the communities and supplement the education of college students by bringing them face to face with the community situation.

He also said that volunteers will work on the theme ‘Swachh Bharat’. They will spread awareness about digital India, communal harmony, water conservation, clean environment, women education and empowerment other such issues. Government junior college principal Balakrishna Reddy, former Upasarpanch Jeevan Reddy, Tirumalapur MPTC member B Mahesh, government junior college NSS PO Tirupati, Vivekananda Degree and PG college NSS PO K Satish Kumar, faculty members B Mahesh, Rajeshwari and others were also present.
