
CM Revanth Reddy and Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha congratulate the Collector for emerging as a role model and instilling confidence in government hospitals
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 16, 2025: Setting a good example for other government employees. Collector Pamela Satpathy underwent a complex surgery procedure at the Government General Hospital in Karimnagar town.
The Collector, who had been experiencing persistent headaches, nasal congestion, sinusitis and breathing difficulties, had been on medication as prescribed by ENT specialists. For a long-term solution, she underwent Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) along with Septoplasty at GGH, Karimnagar on Sunday.
A team of doctors, led by hospital superintendent Dr G Udaya Veera Reddy, successfully performed the procedure. ENT surgeon Dr L Ravikanth, Dr Sandeep, Dr Madhumitha, anaesthetist Dr Shanthan Kumar and other medical staff were part of the surgical team.
It may be recalled that there were reports about the IAS officers and their family members undergoing deliveries in the government hospital. This is the first incident where an IAS officer underwent surgery in the government hospital and emerged as a role model.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy congratulated the Collector Pamela Satpathy for instilling confidence among the people for the treatment being provided in the government hospitals. In his X post, the CM said “The government hospitals are fully equipped with experienced doctors and committed staff to serve the people. Now people only want the confidence that quality medical assistance is being provided in the government hospitals.”
On this occasion, Minister for Health Damodara Rajanarasimha congratulated Collector Pamela Satpathy for setting an inspiring example by choosing to undergo Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) along with Septoplasty at GGH, Karimnagar. He also extended his warm wishes to the Collector for a speedy and complete recovery, applauding her for being a role model in promoting the use of quality healthcare services available in government hospitals.
The Health Minister commended the Medical Superintendent and the team of ENT surgeons, anaesthetists, physicians, nursing staff and support personnel for successfully performing the complex procedure and upholding the high standards of patient care. This success story reflects the growing strength and professionalism of Telangana’s public health system and the commitment of its workforce.
