KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 22, 2025: World Earth Day was celebrated in Zilla Parishad High School, Indurthi, on Tuesday with lots of enthusiasm on Tuesday with the financial support of Dr. Abhay Bansal, who is a professor at National Geographic Research Institute (NGRI) and CSIR, Hyderabad.
The school organised an essay writing competition, a painting competition, a poetry writing competition, and slogan competitions for the students. Later, a rally was organised in the village with students and teachers under the leadership of Science Teacher B Odelu Kumar. The teachers also participated in the plantation of saplings on the school premises.
Awareness was created among the villagers on the importance of growing trees and protecting the environment from pollution., Speaking on the occasion, School Principal Jayaprada educated the students to eradicate plastic and protect the environment. Prizes were distributed to the students who won in various competitions conducted on the occasion. The programme was successfully organised by the teaching team of Tirupati, Manjula, Pratap Reddy, Venu, Chari, Odelu Kumar, Raghupathi Reddy, Pawan Kumar, Savita, Sridevi, Surya Prakash, and Niharika.
