SU conducts Medical Simulation Workshop

MANGALURU, JULY 01, 2026:  The Institute of Allied Health Sciences of  Srinivas University (SU) successfully organised the Medical Simulation Workshop on ‘Building Confidence and Clinical Competence’, bringing together distinguished academicians, healthcare professionals, faculty, and students for an enriching day of learning and skill development.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Chancellor of Srinivas University, who addressed the gathering and emphasised the importance of simulation-based education in developing competent and confident healthcare professionals.

The event featured an inspiring keynote address by Dr. Satya Pal Singh, former Union Minister of State (HRD, Higher Education & Water Resources), Government of India and Former Member of Parliament, who highlighted the transformative role of innovation, research, and quality education in shaping the future of healthcare. The occasion was further enriched by the presence of Dr. Akla Singh, an eminent academician and educationist, whose insights emphasized excellence in higher education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Participating in the Workshop a distinguished healthcare professional and academic leader Dr. Rishi Palpu addressed the gathering sharing valuable perspectives on advancing clinical education through technology-driven learning. The Workshop had two sessions, one on  ‘Simulation-Based Resuscitation Training: Building Confidence in BLS’ by Dr. Akhil Rao U.K. followed by ‘Simulation-Based Clinical Skill Training’ by Blessing Dhas. The Workshop provided participants with hands-on exposure to modern medical simulation techniques, enhancing clinical competence, teamwork, critical thinking, and patient safety.
