WARANGAL, JULY 27, 2026: “Students should become job creators rather than job seekers and contribute to the nation’s economic growth,” said Kakatiya University (KU) Vice Chancellor Prof. K. Pratap Reddy.
Speaking at the Entrepreneurship and Startup Induction Programme organised by Kakatiya University K-Hub in association with Telangana’s T-Hub under the MoU signed between the two institutions on Monday, Prof. Pratap Reddy encouraged students to dream big, utilize government opportunities, and pursue innovation with determination.
He said the initiative would provide nearly 3,000 students with mentoring and startup support through T-Hub, expressing confidence that at least 10 startups would emerge from the programme. Every innovative idea has value, he said, urging students to nurture and develop their ideas into successful ventures.
Stating that Kakatiya University is emerging as a major innovation hub in North Telangana, the Vice Chancellor said that the University is exploring academic collaboration with Reutlingen University, including 4+1 and 3+2 dual-degree programmes and short-term student exposure visits. He further informed that a second incubation centre would be established on the campus under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Speaking on the occasion,
Registrar Prof. V. Ramachandram urged students to leverage the mentoring, innovation, and incubation support offered through K-Hub and T-Hub to transform their ideas into successful startups. T-Hub representative Sravan Erugula said 400 students were selected from around 1,700 applicants and would undergo 12–15 training sessions on entrepreneurship and startup development, followed by continuous mentoring. Prof. R. Mallikarjun Reddy, RUSA Nodal Officer, encouraged students to become employers instead of employees.  Prof. T. Savita Jyotsna, Director, K-Hub chaired the programme. T-Hub representatives Ashish Sharma and Bharat, K-Hub Joint Directors Siddharth and Bollam Kiran, Prof. N. Raman, Prof. K. Bhikshalu, faculty members, researchers, and students were present.
