HYDERABAD, JULY 13, 2026: SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) a nation wide voluntary youth movement founded in 1977 by Padma Shri Dr. Kiran Seth, is resumed this year’s intiative ” The Great Virasat 2026″ (A grand 500 Classical Programs across Educational Institutions of Telangana State) Dedicated to fostering inner wisdom and inquiry among young minds the movement continues its mission of reconnecting students with India’s rich cultural roots through classical music and dance.
As part of this year’s initiative, the SPIC MACAY Telangana Chapter is organising extensive workshop demonstrations across the districts of Rajanna Sircilla and Medak. From July 13 to July 17, 2026, these workshops will bring the depth of classical Indian heritage to students.
The programme features a diverse array of classical traditions led by eminent artists: in Rajanna Sircilla students will experience Kuchipudi by Ms. Rekha Satish and Kuchipudi by Ms. Rajashree Holla; in Medak the workshops will showcase the graceful movements of Kuchipudi by Ms. Lekshmi Reghunath and the intricate footwork of Kathak by Ms. Anshika Agrawal . These five-day sessions are designed to provide students with an immersive experience, allowing them to engage directly with master practitioners and gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies, discipline, and beauty inherent in these classical traditions.
