National Electrical Safety Week Concludes at NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana with Strong Commitment Towards Electrical Safety
RAMAGUNDAM, JULY 02, 2026: The valedictory ceremony of the National Electrical Safety Week was organised at the HR Auditorium of NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana, marking the successful culmination of a week-long series of electrical safety awareness and training programmes conducted by the Electrical Maintenance Department (EMD – R&T).
The programme was graced by Shri Mukul Rai, CGM (O&M), Telangana, as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was attended by Shri Manish Agrawal, GM (O&M), Ramagundam, Shri Avijit Dutta, GM (M&ADM), Shri Binoy Josh, GM (Projects), senior officials, employees, contract partners, and other stakeholders.
During the programme, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions conducted during the week for NTPC employees, contract workers, and members of Deepthi Ladies Club. The enthusiastic participation of all stakeholders reflected the growing awareness and commitment towards electrical safety across the station and township.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Mukul Rai emphasised that electrical safety is not confined to power plant operations alone but is equally important in townships, workplaces, and homes. He highlighted that electricity, though invisible, poses significant risks if not handled carefully and therefore requires constant vigilance, awareness, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

The week-long observance featured a variety of activities, including safety awareness sessions, practical demonstrations, quizzes, training programmes, and outreach initiatives for employees, contract workers, and township residents. These activities helped strengthen safety consciousness and reinforced the message that electrical safety is a continuous responsibility and an integral part of everyday life.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the collective resolve of all stakeholders to uphold the highest standards of electrical safety and further strengthen the safety culture at NTPC Ramagundam & Telangana.
