HYDERABAD, AUGUST 05, 2026:Â The International Academy of Ethics has conferred Life Membership upon Peruka Raju, a distinguished Indian poet, author, literary critic, multilingual translator and Junior Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to literature, translation, ethical values and humanitarian service.
Fondly regarded as Telangana’s proud son who brings honour to Mother India, Peruka Raju holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, a Master’s degree in English Literature, a PhD and three Honorary Doctorates. He has authored thirteen books in various languages and has made remarkable contributions to poetry, fiction, literary criticism and translation. Patriotism, human values, social justice and national integration are the defining themes of his literary works.
As the founder of the voluntary organisation My Gift, Mr Raju has been actively involved in educational and humanitarian initiatives for the underprivileged. Guided by his inspiring motto, “Encouragement is the Greatest Gift,” he continues to motivate and empower countless individuals through selfless service.
On the occasion, Jernail Singh Anand, Founder President of the International Academy of Ethics, P. Ramakrishna and Maja Herman Sekulic, Vice-President, stated that the Life Membership was conferred in recognition of Peruka Raju’s lifelong dedication to literature, ethical values, cultural harmony and humanitarian service. They praised him as an exemplary soldier, scholar, and literary humanist whose contributions continue to inspire society.
Accepting the honour, Mr Raju expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Mr Jernail Singh Anand, Mr P. Ramakrishna, Mr Maja Herman Sekulic, and the International Academy of Ethics.
