KARIMNAGAR, JULY 15, 2026: Narahari Prabhu, the in-charge of ISKCON, Karinagaram, has urged the Hindu devotees of Karinagaram to participate in the prestigious Jagannath Rath Yatra Mahotsav to be held on a large scale during the auspicious hours of July 16 and seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath.
Speaking at the programme organised at the Istan Sri Radha Govinda Temple in Karinagaram today, he said that many devotees and artists will participate in the fifth Jagannath Rath Yatra and bring joy to the festival. He said that the puja programmes will be held at 12 noon on July 16, after which the Yatra will begin with the devotees pulling the chariot of Lord Jagannath, adorned with the Balabhadra Subhadra robes, from the Mahashakti Temple.
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, State Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, MLA Gangula Kamalakar, Mayor Kolagani Srinivas, Deputy Mayor Sunil Rao, District Collector Chitra Mishra, Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam, public representatives and devotees will participate in this festival. Jagannath Rath Yatra Festival Committee President Kanna Krishna said that the procession will include processions of devotees, traditional art forms, bhajans, dances and sankirtans. He said that the Rath Yatra, which will start at 1:30 from Mahashakti Temple, will reach Vaishya Bhavan via St. John’s school, Labour Adda, Mankammathota, Geetha Bhavan, Bus Station, One Town, Venkateswara Temple, Tower Circle and Rajiv Chowk. He said that lectures, offering of 1008 prasadams, cultural programmes, and Maha Anna Prasadam programmes are being organised at Vaishya Bhavan. He said that cultural programmes will be organised from 12 to 1:30 in the premises of Mahashakti Temple.
Dr. L Rajabhaskar Reddy said that even if you pull the chariot of Jagannath, touch it, or participate in the chariot procession, you will get merit and salvation. Festival committee members Tummala Ramesh Reddy, Burra Madhusudhan Reddy, Komuravelli Venkatesham, Rallabandi Gopal Reddy, Satyanarayana Reddy, Premanand Prabhudi and others participated in the programme. Later, the programme ended with a noon aarti to Jagannath.
