KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 19, 2024: District Election Officer and Returning Officer of Karimnagar Graduates Constituency Pamela Satpathy has prohibited campaigning by the contestants of Karimnagar Graduates and Teachers Constituencies during school hours in the entire constituency comprising of Karimnagar, Medak, Nizamabad and Adilabad districts.
Following the reports and complaints about the contestants visiting the schools as part of campaigning for the Graduates and Teachers Constituency legislative council elections, the Collector, who is also the district election officer, has banned campaigning during school hours. She also instructed the DEOs of all four districts to ensure that no candidates campaign during school hours.
The Collector also warned of stringent action as per Election Rules and Representation of Peoples Act 1950 if any violates norms and campaigns during school hours.
