TIRUMALA, JULY 14, 2026: TTD Chairman Sri BR Naidu said that several changes are being made in the privileges provided to donors who donate to various trusts and schemes of TTD. The TTD board meeting was held at Annamayya Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday.
Afterwards, the TTD Chairman along with TTD EO Sri Muddada Ravichandra, held a media conference.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman said that in order to bring more transparency and uniformity in the management of donations, several changes have been made in the privileges provided to donors who donate to all the trusts and schemes of TTD.

He said that these new rules will come into effect from midnight on July 14. However, he said that the privileges currently in force for donors who have already donated to various trusts and schemes will continue as usual.
Some excerpts from the board meeting….
- Tenders approved towards the construction of permanent shelters, queue lines and toilets near Alwar Tank at a cost of Rs. 6.31 cr for the devotees with SSD tokens
- Approval for sanctioning of Rs. 2.77 cr towards the construction of a double-lane bridge to make Kumaradhara and Pasupudhara dams in Tirumala stronger.
- As part of green energy development in Tirumala, approval for the installation of an 800 KW wind turbine generator near GNC was donated by Wish Wind Infrastructure and approval for a continuous supply of electricity to TTD for the next 25 years.
– Entry fee for visitors above 12 years of age at Tirumala SV Museum has been fixed at Rs. 50 (including GST). It has been decided to ask the Tata Group to take over the management of the museum.
- Approval for sanction of Rs. 5 crore towards scientific treatment of old solid waste above 25 years old near Kakulamanthippa, Tirumala, through bio-remediation and bio-mining.
- Decision to continue maintenance work of TTD temples and rest houses in Tirumala and Tirupati with a total cost of Rs. 2.35 crore for comprehensive maintenance of fire extinguishing systems in Tirumala and Tirupati for the safety of devotees.
– It has been decided to remove 12 old buildings at T B C and A T C rest houses in Tirumala and construct new buildings in their place with the help of donors.
- The TTD Board has decided to print Srivari calendars and diaries for the year 2027. Out of this, 10 lakh diaries, 13.50 lakh 12-page calendars and 75 thousand 6-page calendars have been approved for printing.
- Rs. 2.91 crore sanctioned for additional infrastructure and FMS services at the Tirumala Octopus Base Camp.
– Approval to use 1,000 grams (one kilo)of gold from the TTD treasury towards designing golden armours for the Vontimitta deities of Sri Sita Lakshmana sameta Sri Rama Chandra Murty.
- Tenders approved towards the construction of a 100-room rest house for the convenience of pilgrims at the Sri Kodandarama Swamyvari temple in Vontinitta at a cost of Rs. 17.84 crore.
- TTD board approved the payment of Rs. 2.11 crore to the district administration towards the expansion of the North-Eastern Madaveedhi of the Sri Kodandarama Swamyvari temple in Vontinitta and the acquisition of 6,103 square feet of land for the development of pilgrim facilities.
- Tender approved towards the construction of “Salaharam” on the Mukha Mandapam and the construction of the remaining rampart wall at Sri Tatayyagunta Gangamma temple in Tirupati at a cost of Rs. 2.50 crore.
– Steps have been taken to ensure that Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Aadharvana Vedas are recited continuously in religious institutions like TTD.
As part of this, decided to appoint 791 people as prospective Veda scholars through the Veda Parayana scheme so that daily recitation and world welfare can be done in prominent temples across the state.
- Approval to increase the remuneration of artists serving Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, Dasa Sahitya Project, Annamacharya Project, SV College of Music and Dance etc., based on the skill of the respective artists.
- Decision to send proposals to the government to upgrade the 65 server posts in the TTD canteens section to catering supervisor posts.
Board members, Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, JEO Dr. A. Sarath, CVSO Sri Muralikrishna and other officials participated in this meeting.
