KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 04, 2026: Professor B. Ramesh, Principal of the Government Degree and PG College, Jammikunta, announced that students seeking admission to the college can apply through the DOST (Degree Online Services, Telangana) Special Drive Phase until August 11, 2026. He urged aspiring students to make use of this excellent opportunity to secure their enrollment, emphasising that this is the final window to gain admission into undergraduate courses for the current academic year.
To support its students, the college features excellent residential and welfare facilities. This includes a secure girls’ hostel within the campus and a boys’ hostel located within walking distance. Additionally, the college provides free mid-day meals to all day-scholar students, generously sponsored by college alumni and local philanthropists. Prof. Ramesh highlighted the college’s strong track record in academics and placements. Along with standard programs, the college offers highly employment-oriented courses. These include the new AEDP (Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme) in B.Com (Retail Operations), computer courses in B.A., B.Com., and B.Sc., as well as specialised programs in Office Management, Dairy Science, and Crop Production. The unique AEDP curriculum allows enrolled students to undertake practical apprenticeships at retail marts and industries during their final year, earning a monthly stipend or scholarship ranging from ₹8,000 to ₹12,000
