Inspects the solar power plant installed through allocation of Rs 10 lakhs from his MPLADS
KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 29, 2024: Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar has assured to secure central government funds for the construction of hostel building for the girl students of Government Degree and PG college in Karimnagar town.
The MP visited the degree college to inspect the solar power plant installed at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs with the MPLADS funds allocated by the MP few years ago. Mr Sanjay Kumar inspected the solar power panels of 15 kilowatts capacity and inquired about its functioning and saving of power bills.
Interacting with the girl students, Mr Sanjay Kumar promised to secure more CSR funds for the development of the 50-year-old Government degree college and transform it one of the top colleges in the state. He informed the students to study not only to secure employment but also develop the knowledge and concern for society. He informed the students discourage the western culture and be Indian, which is followed and adopted by entire world.
Principal T Sree Lakshmi said that the installation of solar power plant at the college had helped them save power bills. Earlier,they used to get Rs 55,000 power bills per month. Now, they were getting only Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 per month and save huge amount. She also said that they had secured NAAC A grade and were planning to secure autonomous status through UGC. BJP state executive committee member Gandra Nalini, municipal corporator Choppari Jayashree and others were also present.
