Informs the Union Minister to ensure more funds were allocated to Telangana state in general and Karimnagar parliament constituency in particular
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 16, 2024: In the wake of ensuing Union budget session for the year 2024-25, Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar has urged Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar to take measures for the allocation of huge funds for the development of the Karimnagar parliament constituency.
Congratulating Mr Sanjay Kumar for assuming the charge as the Union Minister, Mr Prabhakar has open letter addressed to the Union Minister on Tuesday. He reiterated that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was maintain cordial relations with the Centre for the development of the Telangana state.
He said that the Union government should fulfil the promises made to the Telangana state during the bifurcation of the state through AP States Reorganisations Act, 2014. He also reminded that the Union Minister has to play crucial role in securing more funds to the Telangana state. As the son of Karimnagar, I am herewith bringing to your notice the long pending issues of the Karimnagar parliament constituency, he stated.
He demanded the Union Minister to strive for the setting up of Skill Development centre, sanction of medium and small industries for the rehabilitation of land oustees of Mid Manair Dam and Gouravelli project, allocation of Rs 200 crore to Satavahana University, daily train service from Karimnagar to Tirupati, doubling of Karimnagar to Shirdi train service, medical college to Husnabad, national highway from Kothapalli to Jangaon, development of Textile park in Sircilla, allocation of funds for the development temple shrines of Vemulawada and Kondagattu and allocation of funds under NLM, PMEG and NHM.
He informed the Union Minister to utilise the opportunity and ensure more funds are allocated to the constituency.
