NEW DELHI, JUNE 11, 2024: After the allocation of portfolios, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia and several other newly sworn-in ministers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government assured office in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi assumed charge of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. He was Chief Minister of Bihar between 2014 and 2015. Ms. Shobha Karandlaje also took charge as Minister of State in Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. She has also served as the Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Minister of State for Food Processing Industries in Government of India. Secretary (MSME) and all senior officers of the Ministry welcomed Union Minister and Minister of State.
Dr Mansukh Mandaviya took charge of the office of the Union Minister of Labour & Employment. He also holds the portfolio of the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. The Minister was welcomed by Ms. Sumita Dawra, Secretary L&E along with other senior officials of the Ministry.
Dr Mandaviya was Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and Chemicals and Fertilisers in the previous government. Dr Mandaviya won Lok Sabha seat from Porbandar, Gujarat. Earlier he was a member of Rajya Sabha from 2012-2024. He was also a member of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly from Palitana during 2002-2007.
Sushri Shobha Karandlaje took charge of the office of the Minister of State for Labour & Employment in New Delhi today. She also holds the office of the Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took charge as Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ramnath Thakur and Bhagirath Choudhary also take charge. Chirag Paswan took charges as Union Minister for Food procession Industries.
