HYDERABAD, JUNE 01, 2024: The Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) has conferred the prestigious ‘Performance Excellence’ award to Singareni Collieries Company limited chairman and managing director N Balaram.
The award was presented at the 24th CEO’s conference organised at Mussoorie in Uttarakhand state on Friday night. On behalf of the Singareni chairman, its director (operations and personnel) SVK Srinivas received the award.
Ever since, Mr Balaram took over as the chairman of SCCL, he had been striving hard to increase the coal production by conducting review meetings and progress of coal excavation mine-wise. Under his guidance, the Singareni achieved the coal production of 700 million tonnes of coal during the year 2023-24 and achieved a turnover of Rs 35,700 crore. SCCL general manager (MS) T Suresh Babu, Administrative manager Bhaskar, DGM Ch Seetharam Babu, IIIE secretary AVV Prasad Raju were present at award ceremony.
