KAZIPET, JUNE 25, 2024: The railway loco running staff have staged a massive dharna on front of the DRM office in Secunderabad on Tuesday demanding the railways to provide 46 hours rest to the loco-running staff and other charter of demands.
Speaking on the occasion, South Central Railway Employees Sangh Kazipet loco running branch working chairman and SCRES divisional coordinator Paka Raj Kumar said that the Railways should provide a total of 46 hours of rest to the loco running staff as per CAT and Karnataka high court order. Stating that the loco pilot will not work more than two consequent night duties, he urged the Railways to avoid 14 hours working of loco pilots to protest their health.
He reminded that NFIR national general secretary Marri Raghavaiah, who had given concrete suggestions for the railways for the betterment of work hours of loco pilots, had extended solidarity to the agitation loco-pilots.
