
HYDERABAD, OCTOBER 30, 2024: Officials of Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, carried out a joint operation along with Prohibition & Excise Department and busted a network involved in the illegal procurement, stocking, and sale of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in Hyderabad.
Huge stocks of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances including Fentanyl injections, Ketamine injections, Pentazocine injections, and Midazolam injections, etc. were seized during the special operation at GV Saluja Hospital, Rezimental Bazar, Secunderabad.

Neha Bhagwath of Moulali, Malkajgiri, illegally procured Narcotic Drugs and stocked them at her residence, supplying them to various entities in the state that do not possess licenses to stock and sell Narcotic Drugs, potentially leading to their abuse. During the raids, huge stocks were also recovered from Neha Bhagwath, including Morphine Injections, Morphine Tablets, Fentanyl Injections, Fentanyl Patches, Pentazocince Injections, etc.
DCA Director General VB Kamalasan Reddy said that on credible information regarding illegal possession and sale of Narcotic drugs, officers from the Drugs Control Administration, Secunderabad Zone along with officers from STF and DTF of Prohibition & Excise Department carried out a raid at GV Saluja Hospital, Rezimental Bazar, Secunderabad on Wednesday. During the raid, officials detected huge stocks of Narcotic Drugs, including Fentanyl Injections 100 mcg/2 ml, and Psychotropic Substances, such as Ketamine Hydrochloride Injections 50 mg/10 ml vial, Pentazocine Injections 30 mg/1 ml, Midazolam Injections 1mg/ml (10 mg vial), which were stocked illegally for sale at GV Saluja Hospital without an NDPS licence. Rajender Singh Saluja is the owner of GV Saluja Hospital.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Neha Bhagwath, N/o. Nagpur, Maharashtra, W/o. Sushil Kumar, R/o. Moulali, illegally supplied the aforementioned Narcotic and Psychotropic Drugs to GV Saluja Hospital. Neha Bhagwath is a habitual offender with two previous cases filed against her under the NDPS Act and she was enlarged on bail in a NDPS Act case in the third week of September-2024.
Officers conducted a raid at the residence of Neha Bhagwath in MJ Colony, Moulali, Malkajgiri, and detected huge stocks of narcotic drugs, including Morphine Injections, Morphine Tablets, Fentanyl Citrate Injections, and Fentanyl Citrate Patches, Pentazocine Injections etc. which were illegally procured and stocked for supply to various unlicensed entities in Hyderabad.
During the raids, huge stocks of Narcotic and Psychotropic Drugs were also recovered from Neha Bhagwath.

The accused, Neha Bhagwath, confessed that she illegally procured the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances from Dinesh of Pioneer Drug House, located at H.No. 164, Plot No. 172, Shop No. 132, 1st Floor, Sridevirathan Complex, Aagyaramdevi Square, Subhash Road, Ganeshpet, Nagpur.
Officials seized the stocks of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances during the raid.

Additional raids are being conducted at several Hospitals in Hyderabad where Neha Bhagwath had illegally supplied Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at Secunderabad Prohibition & Excise Station.
