183rd Meeting of Board of Trustees of CMPFO Convened at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, JANUARY 17, 2025:  The 183rd meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Coal Mines Provident Fund Organisation (CMPFO) was convened on Friday under the Chairmanship of Vikram Dev Dutt, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, and Chairman, BoT, CMPFO.

For the first time, the meeting took place at Singareni Bhavan, Hyderabad, and witnessed active participation from senior officials of the Ministry of Coal (MoC), representatives from coal workers’ unions, and top executives from coal sector companies and CMPF officials.

Chairman Mr Vikram Dev Dutt appreciated the constructive discussions during the meeting and reaffirmed the Ministry’s dedication to improving the social security and welfare of coal workers, recognizing their pivotal role in driving the growth and sustainability of the coal sector.

Additionally, he underscored the importance of efficient and transparent management of the resources within the Coal Mines Provident Fund Organisation (CMPFO). He pointed out that optimal utilization of resources is crucial to maintaining the financial health and long-term sustainability of CMPFO, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of its beneficiaries effectively.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a collective resolve to enhance the well-being of coal workers and streamline the operations of CMPFO for future growth.

Ms. Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary, MoC; Ms. Nirupma Kotru, Joint Secretary & Financial Advisor, MoC; Ms. Santosh, Deputy Director General, MoC; and Shri Vijay Kumar Mishra, CMPF Commissioner, Union representatives Shri. Ramendra Kumar, Shri.K.Lakshma Reddy, Shri.D D Ramanandan, Shri.Rakesh Kumar, Shri.Ashish Krishna Murthi, Shri.D N Singh, Sri.N.Balram CMD Singareni, Shri.Prem Sagar Mishra CMD SECL, Dr.Vinay Ranjan Director (Personnel), and Shri.Mukesh Agrawal  Director (Finance), Shri.Hari Pachauri, Regional Commissioner  were present in person, while CMDs of Coal India Limited (CIL) and its subsidiaries participated through video conference.
