Municipal corporators felicitate Bandi Sanjay for growing from an ordinary corporator to the Union Minister
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 14, 2024: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has said that he would show his mark of development in Karimnagar town and transform it on all fronts for the benefit of the people and fulfilment of his aspirations and indebt to the motherland, which gave his political life.
“I will get the funds from the Centre and informed the Municipal council members to prepare a comprehensive proposals for the development of Karimnagar. I will discuss the development of Karimnagar town with Minister for Transport and BC welfare Ponnam Prabhakar and Karimnagar legislator Gangula Kamalakar and chalk out strategies”, he pointed out.
Following the extension of Smart City project, cutting across party lines all the municipal corporators and former corporators have soundly felicitated the Union Minister in Karimnagar town on Sunday. It may be recalled that Mr Sanjay Kumar launched his political career as Municipal corporator and grown up to the rank of Union Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sanjay Kumar said that ‘I never expected that I would be felicitated all corporators in Kairmnagar town. I am really indebted to the MCK for felicitating me where I was twice as corporator”. Recollecting the past experience of all corporators cooperating with each other and remained as friendly, he said that ‘of late, there is gap between the corporators. Now shun that distance and all work together for the progress of the town’.
Stating that the Central government had extended complete support to the MCK, the Union Minister assured to get more funds from the Centre because of his recognition with all the Union Ministers. “I will show my mark of administration and development in Karimnagar town”, he stated and added that the centre had sanctioned Rs 132 crore under AMRUT-1 scheme and Rs 934 crore under Smart City Mission programme to Karimnagar town.
Mayor Y Sunil Rao, all the municipal corporators belonging to all political parties including MIM have felicitated the Union Minister for his elevation from corporator to the Union Minister in Karimnagar town.
