KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 21, 2025: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar, marked International Yoga Day, World Music Day, and the Summer Solstice with great zeal and enthusiasm on Saturday. The celebrations reflected the institution’s commitment to holistic education, combining physical wellness, artistic expression, and scientific awareness.

The students performed various Yoga asanas with deep-rooted concentration, showcasing discipline and dedication. A total of 25 NCC cadets from the school participated in the Yoga Day celebrations conducted by the 9 Telangana Battalion NCC, Karimnagar. The students also represented the school at a public event organised by Vikasa Tharangini and Pragna Vikas, where they performed yogasanas such as Surya Namaskar, Tadasana, Vrikshasana, and many more.
The students’ soul-stirring performances on World Music Day showcased their artistic talents. A nostalgic memory song touched hearts, followed by a cheerful Casio performance and a lively group song that celebrated the universal language of music.
An informative speech by a student highlighted the significance of the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, and its deep-rooted connection to ancient Indian traditions.
Principal Renuka Balivda appreciated the students’ active involvement and commitment to health and well-being. Director Academics Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari and Chairman Sudhakar Rao Polsani encouraged students to maintain a balance between body, mind, and creativity.
