The Minister promises to constitute a committee to resolve issues of the private doctors and hospitals
KARIMNAGAR, MAY 25, 2025: Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu has assured to constitute a high-level committee to resolve the issues pertaining to the private hospitals and constitution of health commission in the Telangana state.

Responding to the pleas made by Telangana Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association (THANACOM-2025 11th state conference in Karimnagar town on Sunday, the IT Minister promised to constitute to resolve the issues pertaining to the private hospitals and nursing homes and the doctors.
The THANACON-2025 representatives had urged the government for a single-window system to handle all hospital-related clearances—such as registrations, renewals, and licenses—to stop repeated harassment from various departments like Fire Services, GHMC, and Pollution Control Board etc.
The THANA is calling on the state government to remove small clinics and hospitals with fewer than 50 beds from the Clinical Establishment Act (CEA), just like Haryana and Bihar have done. They believe that exempting smaller facilities from the Act would reduce unnecessary pressure and help them operate more efficiently. They are urging Telangana to follow the examples set by Haryana and Bihar, where such exemptions are already in place.
One of the most serious concerns raised by the THANA is the growing number of attacks on doctors. They pointed out that the current legal protections for healthcare workers are too weak. They want stricter laws, including increasing the jail term for attacking doctors from 3 years to 7 years and making such offences non-bailable. They also asked for immediate registration of FIRs after a preliminary expert review in these cases.
Another major concern is the large number of unqualified practitioners, or quacks, operating across the state, they said and added that more than 10 lakh such individuals are treating patients without proper qualifications, posing a serious risk to public health. Legislators Dr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana, Dr M Sanjay Kujmar, Adluri Laxman Kumar, K Sanjay, Palvai Harish Babu and others were also present.
The two-day THANACON was formally inaugurated by THANA state president-elect Dr Arun Katari, Organising Committee Chairman Dr Alagandula Srinivas, Organising committee secretary Dr Sridhar Chatla, committee treasurer Dr Raj Kumar Bandari, IMA district president Anamalla Naresh, Dr Mangilal, Dr Sunil Reddy, Dr Mahesh, Dr Suryanarayana Reddy, Dr Jaganmohan Rao, Dr BN Rao, Dr E Vijayender REddym Dr TKK Naidu, Dr Laxman, Dr Naga Raghuram, Dr Vijaymohan Reddy, Dr Srilatha Reddy, Dr Akula Shailaja, Dr Mamatha Reddy, Dr Y Narendra, Dr V Jayaram, Dr E Shailaja, Dr Sesha Shailaja, Dr Ravikanth, Dr Ramana Chary, Dr Ram Kiran and other doctors were also present.
