Four PACS of integrated Karimnagar district bags NCDC awards

KARIMNAGAR, JULY 04, 2024: Four Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) viz Raikal, Srirampur, Appannapet and Mahadevpur from the integrated Karimnagar district have bagged the prestigious National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) Regional Awards for Cooperative Excellence and Merit-2023 for their excellent performance and contribution to the Cooperative development.

Minister for Agriculture and Cooperation Thummala Nageshwara Rao along with TSCAB chairman M Ravinder Rao presented the awards to the respective PACS chairmen, secretaries, branch managers and supervisors at the TSCAB main office in Hyderabad on Thursday. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 25,000 cash each and a citation.

In a press note here, Karimnagar DCCB CEO N Satyanarayana Rao congratulated the four PACS chairmen and others for their excellent and winning the NCDC awards. He informed the PACS to further increase their business and ensure cent per cent recovery of loans.

NAFSCOB and Karimnagar DCCB chairman Konduru Ravinder Rao also took several measures for the strengthening of the PACS and ensured that the PACS secured NCDC awards. Mr Rao, who believed that the PACS were the pillars of the cooperatives, had made them vibrant by diversifying their business activities. He was the person who had computerized the PACS to ensure transparency and good governance, which is now being replicated in the entire country by following the Karimnagar model.
