TIRUMALA, JULY 04, 2024: TTD Executive Officer J. Syamala Rao requested the District SP to find out the brokers who are deceiving the devotees of Tirumala and take legal action against them from time to time.
The EO held a meeting with the District Police Officials, Vigilance and Security Department of TTD on Wednesday in the conference hall of TTD administration building in Tirupati.
Speaking on this occasion, EO said that the many brokers who have been deceiving the devotees regarding the accommodation, darshan and seva tickets should not be ignored. The concerned officials were asked to take immediate action against them. Upon the requirement as narrated by the CVSO, the EO advised the concerned authorities to look into setting up a cybercrime team to solve IT-related cases in Tirumala speedily.
Earlier, the police department explained the stages of various cases related to darshan brokers in Tirumala, through online, through dip system, registered cases, theft cases, fake websites, etc. through a power point presentation. After that, the EO asked the police officials to take steps to ensure that the brokers involved in these cases are punished according to law within a week.
Besides, TTD vigilance and police departments should meet frequently for quick resolution of such cases. Tirupati District SP Harshavardhan Raju, TTD JEOs Goutami and Veerabrahmam, CV&SO Narasimha Kishore, Tirumala Additional SP Vimala Kumari, DSP Srinivasachari, TTD VGO (Vigilance) Giridhar Rao and other officials participated in this meeting.
