
HYDERABAD, JUNE 26, 2025: Officials of the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, arrested two offenders involved in dealing with Spurious (Counterfeit) Drugs on Wednesday.
The arrested persons include: Praveen Kumar Kanodia, of Ganga Pharma Distributors, Sultan Bazar, Inder Bagh, Koti, Hyderabad and Mithinti Srinivas, of Sri Nandini Pharma, Vittal Maruthi Lane, Gujarat Galli, Sultan Bazar, Koti, Hyderabad.

The above dealers were arrested in connection with the seizure of Spurious (Counterfeit) Drugs — ‘Rosuvas F 20’ and ‘Rosuvas F 10’ Tablets (Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate Tablets) — falsely claimed to be manufactured by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.
The II Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Court, Nampally, Hyderabad, ordered a 14-day judicial remand for the two accused, until 9th July, 2025, and they were subsequently sent to Chanchalguda Jail.
DCA Director General Shahnawas Qasim said that the public may report any complaints regarding illegal activities concerning medicines, through the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana Toll-Free Number 1800-599-6969, which is operational from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm on all working days.
