

A total of 3,55,159 voters have been registered from the Karimnagar Graduates constituency and 27,088 voters in the Teachers MLC seat.


KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 26, 2025: The stage is all set for the conduct of elections to the three MLC constituencies in the Telangana state on Thursday (February 27, 2025) from 8 am to 4 pm.
The elections will be held for three MLC seats viz Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates’ and Teachers’ constituencies and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teachers’ constituency.
A total of 56 candidates are in the fray for the lone Graduates’ constituency, and 15 and 19 candidates are contesting the Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teachers’ constituencies respectively.
The Congress had fielded its candidate only from the Karimnagar Graduates constituency. While BJP is contesting all three seats and the BRS is staying away from the elections.
District Election Officer and Collector Pamela Satpathy has said that they had made all arrangements for the smooth conduct of elections on Thursday in 773 polling stations including 103 in Karimnagar. The Collector visited the ballot boxes distribution and reception centre at the Ambedkar stadium in Karimnagar town on Wednesday.
She said that a total of 3,55,159 voters have been registered from the Karimnagar Graduates constituency and 27,088 voters in the Teachers MLC seat. In Karimnagar district, there are a total of 71,545 Graduate voters and 4,305 Teachers voters.
In Karimnagar district, a total of 103 presiding officers, 312 polling officers, 36 reserve staff, 36 micro observers and 12 sectoral officers were deployed for the election duties. Additional Collectors Praful Desai and Laxmi Kiran, trainee Collector Ajay Yadav, RDO Maheshwar and other officials were also present.
