TGSRTC officials’ hands over lifetime free bus travel pass to parents of the girl child born on the premises of Karimnagar bus station

The RTC officials hands over Rs 14,000 financial assistance and new clothes and other infant kits to the parents of the child

KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 22, 2024: TGSRTC Karimnagar regional manager N Sucharitha has handed over a lifetime free journey pass to the child, who was delivered on the premises of the Karimnagar bus station complex on Sunday.

The RTC regional manager along with deputy regional managers Bhupathi Reddy and Satyanarayana, Karimnagar bus station assistant traffic manager Rajani Krishna and others visited the Mother and Child Health Centre where the girl child along with her mother were undergoing treatment in Karimnagar town on Saturday and handed over the lifetime free journey pass to the family members of the infant child. Besides, they also handed over financial assistance of Rs 14,000 and new clothes and other kits to the parents of the girl children.

It may be recalled that this website www.hindudayashankar.com has published a news “Woman delivers on RTC bus station premises in Karimnagar town on Saturday. Minister for Transport and BC Welfare Ponnam Prabhakar felicitated the TGSRTC outsourcing staff Saidamma, Renuka, Bhavani, Lavanya and station manager N Anjaiah by presenting them with a shawl and Rs 5,000 cash for each for helping a woman deliver on the premises of the bus station complex. Later, TGSRTC managing director VC Sajjanar announced lifetime free journey for the girl child born on the premises of the RTC bus station.

The delivery happened even as the woman was on her way to the Kunta-Badrachalam as she developed labour pains. Following the labour pains, her husband rushed and approached the RTC officials, who in turn alerted, the sweepers and lady supervisors who helped her in the delivery by alerting the 108 ambulance services under the shade of a tree and by covering with the clothes. After the delivery, both the mother and baby were shifted to the government headquarters hospital for further treatment.

The hospital authorities said that the mother and baby would be discharged soon as it was a normal delivery and they are healthy. They appreciated the RTC authorities for the prompt response and ensuring the delivery of the pregnant woman hailing from Madhya Pradesh state and was on her way to Badrachalam.
