HYDERABAD, JULY 20, 2024: The Telangana state government has reintroduced old school timings from 9 am to 4.15 pm in all the government schools from this academic year onwards
Accordingly, the state School Education department has issued the proceedings informing the school heads and the district educational officers through an order on Friday. The old timings were from 9.30 am to 4.45 pm.
However, school timings in Hyderabad and Secunderabad remain unchanged: 8.45 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Education Department noted that this is being maintained for issues of road traffic congestion.
The new school timings include; 9am1st bell, 9.05 2nd bell, 9.05 am to 9.15 am prayer, 9.15 to 10am 1st period, 10 am to 10.45 am 2nd period, 10.45 to 11am interval, 11am to 11.45am 3rd period, 11.45 to 12.30pm 4th period, 12.30 to 01.15pm lunch, 1.15 to 2.00 pm 5th period, 2.00 pm to 2.45 pm 6th period, 2.45 to 2.55pm break, 2.55 to 3.35 7th period and 3.35 to 4.15 8th period.
