KARIMNAGAR, JULY 08, 2024: The Karimnagar District Congress Committee leaders paid rich tributes to former integrated Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr YS Rajashekhar Reddy on his 75th birth anniversary in Karimnagar town on Monday.
Manakondur legislator and DCC president Dr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana along with Karimnagar Assembly segment incharge Purumalla Srinivas, Karimnagar City Congress president K Narender Reddy and others paid floral tributes of Dr Rajashekhar at the Congress party office (Indira bhavan) in Karimnagar town.
On this occasion, Mr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana said that Dr YS Rajashekhar Reddy was instrumental in launching in several welfare schemes such as free power to farmers, Rajiv Arogyasri health insurance scheme, 108 ambulance services, fee reimbursement, crop loan waiver and others. He said that they would work for the ideals of Dr YSR and strive for the upliftment of poorer sections of society.
Later, the Congress leaders led by OBC cell chairman Puli Anjaneyulu Goud, TPCC secretary Vaidyula Anjan Kumar, DCC working president K Padmakar Reddy and others participated in the district distribution of fruits to the inmates of old-age home in Karimnagar town.
